COVID-19 Response

April 4, 2020

To our families, partners and clients,

Yesterday the Ontario government announced further limitations to the Essential Services list.

Currently, residential construction services are not permitted. For maintenance services, only emergency work or services to maintain the safety, security, sani

tation and essential operation are allowed.

These limitations will continue until April 13, 2020, unless extended.

We thank you for your patience, and we look forward to getting back out in the field to continue creating outdoor experiences!

Stay safe & Stay healthy,

To our families, partners and clients,

During this crisis, we've waited patiently to see how the situation would unfold and await further instructions from our government officials. As it is our belief to continue serving our community, partners, clients and families, I'm writing to you to share with you how we're approaching the situation at Soares Landscaping.

Before I share with you what we're doing, we want to share our best wishes to anyone who has been impacted by the virus. We have nurses, caregivers and family members with health issues and realize the severity of the crisis for some people in our community. We remain positive that we will come out of this together.

For Spring Operations

As you may know, Spring is the busiest time of year in the landscape world. From repairing properties from winter damage to preparing gardens for Spring, to breaking ground for new outdoor spaces. With this in mind, here is how we plan to operate until June 30, 2020.

For new projects or reviewing designs, we will be utilizing a Video Conferencing tool (Zoom) to remain face to face, but from the comfort of your home. We have been using Zoom with many of our clients in the past three years, and with our one-click system, you'll wonder why we didn't always use it!

When site visits are needed, our team will conduct them privately to prevent exposure. Site visits are often required to acquire elevation measurements and other related information.

For our field crew, they will be using masks when working in confined spaces and maintain a 6-foot distance from each other as often as possible. At no time should the public, clients, partners or family members be within this 6-foot distance of our team members for your safety and ours.

We've spent countless meetings bringing everyone up to speed with Public Health's recommendations, including an update to our company policy. Continued discussion about best practices will serve as reminders to ourselves.

Our clients have shared with us in the last several weeks that they are excited to get started on getting their properties ready for the season and building their new outdoor spaces. Now more than ever will people need this outdoor space to enjoy life.

We remain calm, sensible and dedicated to providing our services that change people's lives. If any new restrictions or regulations impede us, we will be sure to give you another update.

Thank you for trusting us, and we look forward to serving you and our community.

Stay safe & Stay healthy,

Michael Garcia
